How I'm Simplifying & Amplifying my Business in 2024


 We’re kicking off the year with a short, sharp episode around how I am simplifying AND amplifying my business in 2024.

I hope you all had such a yummy Christmas and a very, very Happy New Year to you all.

So I thought I would do a little short short and sharp episode just to ease us into 2024, sharing how I'm simplifying and amplifying my business this year. The reason why I chose to talk about Simplicity today is, of course, sometimes or oftentimes, the simplest strategies get us the best results.

So I wanted to start by sharing a statistic that I have read many, many times, over the last year or so, which is

80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts

which means that the entrepreneurs who get to that next level, make it, build that version of success that's true for them, it's been because of the 20% of things in the business that are getting them the most results.

I'm going to give you an example of what I mean here. I do truly believe that going all in on that 20% means that you get scalability and sustainability and and stability in your business. So an example that I have is this podcast. When I made a decision to go all in on the 20% of things in the business are getting me the most results the podcast was it.

It wasn't about going in and launching on TikTok or creating another, social media platform. I was like, what's working? What is working in the business? And if I double down on that, I will see better results. And it has been so true on so many levels.

The masterminds being one of them. 80% of my results come from the 20% of my efforts, and everything in my business leads to the masterminds. So everything that I do within that 20% of action is driving to the masterminds.

I often see clients trying new things again and again without, A/ sort of looking at the data of what's actually working, and B/ following through to give things a chance to get off the ground.

The simplicity piece here and the going all in on that 20% is like, stick with the thing. Look at the data. Look at what is working. Look at why it's working and optimise that versus going, oh, it's not working, let's just do something else. I didn't sell out that offer, that new course, so, well, clearly, it's not wanted. I'm going to do something else.

Most often, this just makes you feel like you're constantly starting again. You're starting from 0. And the way to build your business, to scale your business is never to start from 0.

It's always starting from what you know is is working.

What happens when we don't do that is that we feel that we're always launching, or we feel that we're always chasing our tail, or we're not giving things enough time and space to understand why it's not working or what the data is telling us. And it it doesn't feel simple, because you're always adding more complexity to your business.

I have clients, and we spent a year building their one to one coaching to fully booked and only then do we look at other growth strategies, because they knew and we know that actually as a business model, that is what works for them, and that is what will help them hit that revenue goal. So everything leads to 1 to 1. If that person's like, within 2 months oh, it's just not working, I'm not getting the results, and so I'm going to launch a group program… They're taking their energy away from the one to one and putting it into the group program.

And then, maybe the group program because group programs and, you know, I'm going to be talking a lot about live launching over the coming weeks, needs a certain level of ideation and execution to get a really, really good result. Well, okay. So then that person doesn't see that result. So it's like, I'm going to go back to one to ones and, oh, it's exhausting just saying it. Right?

So in 2023 of my business, everything was going to the masterminds, which I've done. Everything led to that. In 2024, we have something exciting coming, which is a new builder offer for the masterminds.

I did speak about it at the beginning of this episode, the Magnetic Live Launch Method. Now the reason why I've been able to introduce this, and, of course, it's a very simple way that I am both simplifying and amplifying my business in 2024 is it doesn't cannibalize the masterminds. It's an extension of our current builder offer, which is Magnetic Visibility. And because I set the stage for the masterminds last year. I have the space and the time to do it. I have the team to do it. I have the time. I have the brain space. I have the capacity to do it.

So it feels like an absolute no brainer because everything else is working in the business. So I can only do it because I have the space to do it. Because our masterminds are usually sort of 60% full before we even go into launch.

This is where the simplest strategies always, always, always win.

So, before we go any further, I just want to invite you into the question, is my strategy feeling simple?

Do I really understand all of the key components and how that builds the ecosystem of my business?

And also how it builds the results that I want to see in my business as well?

And if things do feel clunky, confusing, chaotic, stressful.

How can I simplify?

Like, how can I simplify this all so that I enjoy the process, so that I see the results that I want to see with more ease, with more joy, with more pleasure along the way?

I'm going to start with what we're, how we're simplifying.

So some really, really simple things this year, actually.

Podcasts and weekly newsletters, these will be recorded and written for the month ahead. So at the time of recording this podcast, I am recording a few podcasts. And, tomorrow, when I hit my day of CEO reflections emails, I will write 2 or 3 at once.

Now the reason why I personally don't record anything more than a month in advance is that a lot can happen in a month. So I might write about something as if it were, like, a new trend, for example, and 4 weeks later everyone's already talking about it. So I do batch create knowing that that's a really easy way for me to simplify, obviously, the ideation and creation of our content, but also it simplifies my weeks because I'm not having to think about doing that thing, taking that action that week and every week.

But I do also like leaving a little bit of wiggle room to create content on the fly.

And sometimes that means that I will, move things or pause a certain episode knowing that, actually, what I really want to speak about in this moment is this.

So that's one way that I'm simplifying, my business this year.

All of our content comes typically from the podcast. So the podcast and the CEO newsletter will often be of a similar theme or the podcast content will drive the basis of a CEO reflection email later on in the month.

And then a lot of our, obviously, Instagram content comes from both of those, and we use Airtable in the business to document all of that.

So another way that I'm simplifying is in launch planning.

So giving ourselves way more time from prelaunch to end of launch, for the launches that we are doing and bringing some really simple strategies, giving a lot more space to simple strategies that we know are working in the business right now.

And we're also doing more in terms of the sort of free resources that we're creating. We are giving really, really specific strategic free content based on what we're launching so that we are doing a lot more nurturing in between launches.

So the launch planning will have a lot more of the pre prelaunch activity than it's ever had, and the ways in which that we will be launching are a lot lot easier. So where I've done kind of lots of different things in the past and used lots of different strategies. We're seeing some of the simplest strategies are working right now.

So the next thing, the final thing I'm simplifying is I'm simplifying my diary.

I've made a decision to move my Monday coaching calls to Tuesday, And I've also taken out the 2nd Expand to 7 group coaching call because, honestly, it's become super clear that it's just not required.

So the reason why I've moved my Monday coaching calls to Tuesday is that as it stands, I was starting the day or starting the week on my Mondays without the space for me to be in CEO, and that is really, really important for me.

It's the day that I write my content, or it's the day that I map out the month or create that live launch.

So as a way to be even more prepared and even more, strategic, I'm giving myself the space to do that.

It also means less disruption to my clients. Not that we disrupt my clients a lot, but, if I am going to travel, it's going to be on a weekend. So sometimes on a Monday, we have had to move those calls, probably only about 3 times this year, to be fair, but or in the last year. But I just really like the idea of having that Monday to myself to be, you know, CEO and in that CEO mindset. And then Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, I am on calls, every other week because I have a client week and a non client week.

And then my Fridays are my day off, or my extracurricular activity day where I do sort of my own, have my own coaching and do the courses and the self development work that I myself, do behind the scenes to support my clients to be the best versions.

And then we took the Expand to 7 call, 2nd call out because, honestly, the way or let's say the level of intimacy that my clients have in, certainly, TEA and Expand. But with Expand to 7, they get a private Slack channel and a monthly 1:1. So what I was finding that the group element was sort of less required, really, so we've stripped that back.

And this is, again, like, when I think about my offers, my containers, I've definitely, in the past, added more and more and more in to try and, like, build up, like, look at all of this value.

And what I'm realising is that the value is in the access to me.

That's the value that, I'm in your business. I'm intimate with you. I understand you. I care about you. I love you. And, you know, as as such, I'm in the business. I'm supporting you behind the scenes, Monday to Friday every single week. So, therefore I'm able to to simplify the structure of my masterminds and my containers because the value isn't in the things that we try and beef up with.

The value is in the access typically that they have to me. And I'm sure that anyone listening to this also feels the same.

And so we get to simplify our offerings, guys. That's what I'm just saying here.

You get to simplify your offering.

If it's not working or it's just simply not required, like, take it out. You know? Give yourself some more time.

So then we have the 3 ways I'm amplifying the business in 2024.

The first is by bringing in a lot more time for strategies that are nurturing and onboarding my audience behind the scenes. So this is a real case.

If you are not using personal touch points in your business, if you're not executing, building the offline strategies you will get lost in 2024. So what does this look like?

Lots of personal outreach, lots of introductions, lots of lead magnets, valuable resources that will really nurture my audience behind the scenes. Of course, you know, there will be opportunities to grab all of those, through the newsletter and Instagram, which is the the 2 biggest places that I play, and, of course, I will be sharing on the podcast.

But what I mean by this is sort of really building that connection piece as well. So it's not just a case of, like, here's your resources. It’s, here's your resource AND hey, you know, talk to me about your business. Like, how do you think this resource could help or take the resource away and then let me know if you've got any questions.

That's that real intimacy piece that's that's working so well right now and it's not something new that I've said, that we are seeing this work across the board. I've been talking about this at least for for the last 6 months at least. But for us, we've just really given it, space and time in the overall strategy this year, knowing that this really is the thing that will amplify the results that we see this year.

I talk a lot about this in one of my build offers, Magnetic Visibility, but there is a real art of communication, that we can get so wrong.

I get so many DMs, like, every week with just, like, awful, awful messaging and communications straight into my DM. I just feel so you know, with such a lack of communication, of understanding, you know, of research, and there's a way that we get to do it really, really differently, which is really nuanced, and it really is, an art of communication, which, as a storyteller, I know it's one of my, unique ways of doing things and understandings of how we communicate with with others with other humans.

The next is funnels for every single self study course that we have.

So we've created all of the templates, all of the systems, all of the assets that we need, and we've tested them. and from here, basically, we're going to start applying them to each of the courses that we have, with at least 1 to 2 lead magnets.

So, basically, kind of lots of back end amplification this year, making sure that there is a funnel, a portal, an education piece, a value, step by step method to guide people to a lot of the self study courses that we have, knowing that that's also going to be a way that we can amplify not just the impact that I have this year, but also, the revenue as well.

And then the final piece is my own visibility.

I am going to be amplifying my own visibility this year.

So podcast recordings and interviews, collaborations, connections. I've got some plans to head over to Los Angeles, in spring of this year to just connect with some new people, build some connections, build some potential collaborations, and that feels really, really exciting for me. So, yeah, lots in terms of my own visibility.

I have helped hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of women to be more visible in the world, to be on podcasts, and to have incredible collaborations, to get opportunities and book deals and all of the things. And I feel like this year, I'm going to bring some amplification to that for myself. Let's get visible indeed.
